DESCRIPTION:Steve’s DJ sets captivate with a seamless\, hypnotic sequence of unique selections of tracks\, reflecting over 25 years in the music industry. Originally from Athens\, Steve entered the underground scene in the mid-90s. He has appeared in famous venues worldwide\, as a guest or supporting with DJ sets giants of electronic music such as Carl Craig\, Boris Brejcha\, Charlotte De Witte\, Max Cooper & many others. The groundbreaking vinyl set at the 2006 Love Parade for the Greek float established his reputation in the techno scene. After studying music production\, Steve began producing in 2007\, exploring different styles. He has released over 250 tracks to date on vinyl &amp digital. His current sound\, as part of his solo project HUDD combines deep\, dark\, raw techno with hard bass & synths. Steve’s influence extends beyond DJing—he is a producer\, A&R and label manager for Advanced\, Extima\, Valhall Berlin and many others. He regularly performs at iconic clubs such as Berlin’s Sisyphos\, Athens’ Bolivar & clubs in Amsterdam\, Georgia\, Egypt and other places around the world. A pioneer in digital virtual spaces\, Steve became the first techno DJ in the Metaverse in 2022\, performing at Decentraland & Spatial. He was a guest at the DCL Metaverse Music Festival for three consecutive years & won the first Metaverse DJ Battle at #beatrekkers in 2022. Steve also produces music NFTs\, pushing the boundaries of Techno worldwide.

DESCRIPTION:DOKKAEBI is a performance duo inspired by the mythical goblins from ancient Korean folklore. Comprising vocalist Han (Hankyul Yoo) and modular synthesist Deja (Sungjun Won)\, the duo debuted with their performance\, ‘Sighting\,’ which served as the closing act of an art exhibition in September 2023. \nDrawing inspiration from traditional Korean shamanistic rituals known as Gut (굿)—ceremonies performed to communicate with spirits or ancestors for healing\, fortune\, and protection— DOKKAEBI reimagines these rituals in a futuristic context. Their strictly improvisational performances merge mesmerizing vocals with intricate electronic textures\, guiding audiences toward trance- like states. \nThey have brought their immersive soundscapes to diverse venues\, ranging from outdoor spaces and galleries to museums and underground clubs. Through their distinctive blend of tradition and innovation\, DOKKAEBI delivers a fresh and original exploration of Korean spiritualism. \nHan and Deja met professionally at Supertone\, an AI voice technology company acquired by K-POP powerhouse HYBE. By day\, the pair have created advanced AI voice content for diverse media\, including music\, video\, virtual artists\, and gaming. As DOKKAEBI\, they integrate Supertone’s cutting-edge technology— such as voice design\, singing voice synthesis\, controllable voice conversion\, and real-time voice conversion—into selected live performances and productions.

SUMMARY:Showcase: Pop ‘n’ Tonic (GR)
DESCRIPTION:POP ‘n’TONIC is a pop liberation. The group consists of a rotating lineup of 11 unique and talented musicians\, with countless collaborations with some of the biggest names in the Greek music scene\, who decided to join forces. They draw inspiration from major Synth-Pop\, Dance\, and Electro hits from the ’90s to today\, while giving a nod to the iconic ’80s and their synthesizers. As the band’s creator and drummer Dimitris Bosinakos says\, “My dream was to create a band that plays pop—positive\, danceable\, relaxed\, nostalgic pop.” \nAlways faithful to their aesthetic\, POP ‘n’TONIC has already provided the soundtrack for countless parties since their inception. They recently released their first single\, “One\,” in collaboration with Ian Stratis\, along with a cover of “Message in a Bottle” featuring Eva Nomikou. They continue to work in the studio\, preparing their own original material as well as covers of beloved songs.

SUMMARY:Showcase: Bashar Murad (PS)
DESCRIPTION:Bashar Murad is a Palestinian pop artist\, singer/songwriter\, and filmmaker producing globally influenced pop music rooted in Palestinian spirit. His music challenges stereotypes and highlights social issues facing Palestinian youth that are seldom addressed in Palestine\, including living under the occupation and within patriarchal settings. His music and work also address gender equality and gender diversity. \nWhether he’s performing in a wedding dress or singing about gender diversity\, Bashar is always taking risks and expanding critical thinking. As a Palestinian living in Jerusalem\, he is constantly challenging several of the patriarchal elements of the societies that surround him. “I try to be respectful to people but also try not to\,” says Bashar. \nIn his song “Ilkul 3am Bitjawaz” (Everyone’s Getting Married)\, Bashar plays on society’s normative view of marriage. He takes on the roles of priest\, waiter\, the groom\, and the bride\, challenging and breaking gender roles. Bashar is also a versatile and prolific collaborator. His single “Klefi/Samed” was a collaboration with Icelandic industrial punk band Hatari\, who gained attention for unfurling scarves with the Palestinian flag during the results show of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest held in Tel Aviv. Bashar also performed with them on Icelandic television and performed around Iceland\, Roskilde Festival\, and Tallinn Music Week. \nBashar had reworked and produced an Anglo-Arabic rendition of Nina Simone’s “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free” for the film “A Gaza Weekend”. This was followed by a tour in the UK performing at Outburst Arts Festival in Belfast\, North of Ireland\, The Water Rats in London and a double bill performance with Hatari at Hurra in Reykjavik\, Iceland. \nBashar has recently been performing in Europe and Canada\, while collaborating with local artists during his shows. He performed in Canada at BSMT254 in Toronto accompanied by Nour Palestina and Canadian artist Tennyson King during the opening of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). His performance at Melahuset in Oslo was a pure joy for the audiences\, working with Norwegian guitarist Erik Grove\, while his Berlin performance at Hole 44 brought together fans old and new from across Berlin. He has just returned from the UK’s Greenbelt Festival where he performed on the Glade Stage with his frequent collaborator Icelandic percussionist\, producer and artist Einar Stefansson\, alongside British saxophonist Sam Bambo. \nAs a film director Bashar proudly produces spectacular and engaging visuals for his music\, receiving critical engagement from his fans. His work has been featured in the CBC\, the Globe & Mail\, the BBC\, Teen Vogue\, and NPR. In January 2023 Bashar unveiled his second EP “Nafas” via Levantine Music accompanied by captivating visuals\, delving into a darker world. \nShortly after the release of “Nafas” Bashar competed in the Icelandic Eurovision National Selections\, with “Wild West”\, produced by Icelandic artist and collaborator Einar Stefan. Bashar’s participation sparked international media attention\, where he finally landed in second place. Over the next months Bashar is set to release more of his works in English written in collaboration with Einar as part of a new body of work taking his skillful musical orchestration to new levels.

SUMMARY:Showcase: Ody Icons (GR)
DESCRIPTION:The music family of ody icons was created in 2019 in Paris but has existed since thousands of years ago. Through their theatrical style they created an amalgam of musical genres: Pop meets traditional music\, world music meets rock\, alternative indie meets the 70’s glam scene. They have released 2 EPs to date\, while in 2023 they released their first full-length album entitled POLYDRAMA with songs mainly in English with some Greek and Cypriot touches. From their appearances at underground Athenian parties to their concerts at the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Foundation and the main stage of Athens Pride in Syntagma\, from their collaborations with Onassis Stegi to art and music festivals in Greece and Cyprus\, ody icons manage to lure their audience into an unapologetic dance and an exhilarating sadness.
